Deepak Singh

Assistant Professor

Deepak Singh is currently an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay since March 2021. Prior to this role, Deepak served as an Inspire Faculty and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Physical Research Laboratory from January 2017 to March 2021. Deepak's academic journey includes earning a PhD in Planetary Cryosphere and a Master's in Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences from the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2016. Additionally, Deepak completed a Master's in Applied Geophysics at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad from 2006 to 2011. Deepak's research focuses on the behavior of snow and ice in various planetary conditions and their implications for planetary climate. Deepak also gained experience in film making and video editing during a student trainee period at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in July 2010, where a project on the image analysis of Chandrayaan-1 was completed.
