Nick Martijn

Nick Martijn is a seasoned professional in data management and analytics, currently serving as the Global Director of Data Management & Data Platform at IKEA, where responsibilities include defining and implementing the Data & AI strategy across the global retail organization. Prior to this role, Nick led the Data Management unit at CRANIUM, overseeing a team of consultants and managing various data-related projects. At KPMG Nederland, experience included advancing data management practices through roles ranging from Manager in the Enterprise Data Management department to an intern conducting research on data governance. Earlier career experiences include leading information management initiatives at Deltares and conducting research on sustainable urban freight distribution as part of a collaborative project with Volvo Trucks. Nick holds a Master of Science in System Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Policy Analysis, both from Delft University of Technology.
