IKM Architecture
Fred Watts is an accomplished architect with extensive experience spanning over five decades. Currently serving as an Architect at IKM Architecture since November 2017, Fred has also maintained a long-standing practice under Frederick C. Watts, AIA, since 1972. Previous roles include Project Architect at Celli-Flynn Brennan Architects and Planners, where notable projects included the $86M Mt Lebanon School District High School addition and the UPMC Center for Innovative Science facade restoration. Fred has led design teams at Burt Hill, Inc. for significant public school renovations, managed projects at Riverlife, and contributed to K-12 facilities at Eckles Group Architecture. Early career experience includes significant roles at MacLachlan Cornelius & Filoni Architects, IKM Inc., and Urban Design Associates, covering a broad spectrum of project types from educational institutions to adaptive reuse initiatives. Fred holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, completed in 1968.
