James Tomlinson

James Tomlinson has extensive work experience in the energy industry. James currently holds the position of VP Data Solutions at Ikon Science since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Manager - Data Content at the same company from July 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining Ikon Science, Tomlinson held various roles at Rock Solid Images. James served as the General Manager EAME from April 2015 to June 2019, Senior Geoscience Advisor from March 2014 to April 2015, VP QI Services from December 2012 to February 2014, VP WISE Products and Services from November 2011 to December 2012, and Manager - Asia Pacific from August 2008 to November 2011.

Tomlinson also gained experience at OHM Limited as an Area Geophysicist - Asia Pacific from November 2006 to August 2008 and as a Geophysicist from August 2005 to November 2006. James started their career as a Structural Geologist at Task Geoscience Ltd. from June 2004 to August 2005 and as a CQA Engineer at SLR Consulting & Wardell Armstrong from June 2003 to May 2004.

James Tomlinson received a Ph.D. in Seismology from the University of Leicester in 2003. James also obtained an M.Sc. in Geophysics from Durham University in 1999, and a B.Sc. in Geological Geophysics from the University of Leicester in 1998. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in areas such as Focus, Foundations, and PMC Level III from Pragmatic Institute (Pragmatic Marketing + TDI).
