Beverlyn Omwenga

Beverlyn Omwenga has held various finance-related roles in their career. In 2021, they were appointed Head Of Finance and Finance Manager at Ilara Health. In 2020, they took up the role of Strategic Finance at Garihub. From 2017 to 2021, Beverlyn was the Finance Lead at Branch International, where they were responsible for global loan accounting, reporting, and analysis of loan book portfolio, as well as ensuring adherence to internal controls. From 2012 to 2017, Beverlyn worked at Deloitte & Touche, East Africa, where they held the roles of Audit Senior, Audit Senior Associate, and Audit Associate. In their role as Audit Senior, they were responsible for planning and managing the audit engagement and ensuring the deliverables were met. As Audit Senior Associate and Audit Associate, they performed audit tests to determine effectiveness of internal controls, tested account balances to ensure they were consistent with supporting documents and accounting policies, and prepared comprehensive audit working papers and financial statements. In 2009, Beverlyn was the CR at AIESEC, where they were responsible for building and managing corporate relations with companies, organizing student events, getting speakers, and seeking sponsorship for said events.

Beverlyn Omwenga obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi between 2008 and 2012. In December 2020, they also obtained a Professional Ethics certification from the Corporate Finance Institute.
