Aleksandra Plavsic has worked in the creative industry for over 15 years. Aleksandra began their career in 2003 as a Graphic Designer at Tank Design. In 2005, they moved to NUVO Magazine as a Senior Graphic Designer. In 2006, they were appointed Creative Visual Director at Optical Shop of Aspen, where they were responsible for re-branding 14 high-end retail stores, as well as developing marketing relationships with brands such as Cartier, Oliver Peoples, Chloe, Chrome Hearts and Blinde. In 2010, they served as a Creative Services and Marketing Consultant at Saje Natural Wellness, where they re-branded the company and edited down the 500 sku count to 300. Finally, in 2011, they founded ILIA Beauty and is considered a pioneer for the Clean Color movement. ILIA is known for its innovative, skin-centric formulas.
Aleksandra Plavsic began their education in 1999 at the Vancouver Film School, where they obtained a New Media Design Certificate in Graphics. From 2002 to 2005, they attended both the University of the Arts London and the London College of Communication, where they earned a BA Honours Typo/Graphic Design in Typography. Aleksandra also attended The Great Jane, though no further information is provided.
