Ashley Joines

Ashley Joines has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. They began their career as an Engineering Apprentice at Alcan in 1977 and later worked as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Kraft Foods Group and as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer at General Foods.

In 2015, they became a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Reflex Nutrition before transitioning to a Shift Maintenance Electrician role at JDE Professional UK in 2017. They then moved on to Chemring Countermeasures, where they served as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Electrical Engineer.

In 2020, Ashley joined PETA Ltd as an Electrical Instructor and Assessor while also working as an Engineer at NOURISHER FOOD & DRINKS LIMITED. They briefly worked as a Teacher at the City of Portsmouth from September 2021 to March 2022.

Currently, Ashley holds the position of Electrical Engineer at Ilika plc, which they started in February 2022.

Ashley Joines has a diverse education history. In 1977, they obtained their ONC Engineering degree from North Oxfordshire College FE. In 1979, they pursued further education and completed their HNC Engineering degree from Mid-Warwickshire College FE. Continuing their studies, Ashley enrolled at The Open University in 1983, completing their Mathematics foundation degree (M101) in 1984, followed by a Technology foundation degree (T101) in 1985. In 1992, they attended Banbury and Bicester College, earning a City and Guilds 2360 Pt1 & 2 in Electrical and Electronic Installation. In 1998, Ashley acquired a City&Guilds Dairy Federation qualification from Abingdon and Witney College. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the 18th edition of IEEE Wiring Regulations from IEEE in 2018. Other certifications include City & Guilds 2360 Pt 1 & 2, obtained in 1993, and their HNC Engineering degree in 1981.
