Melanie Parker is an experienced curator currently with Ilitch Holdings, Inc. Previously held various roles at the Detroit Institute of Arts, including Interpretive Planner, Interpretive Specialist, and Kress Interpretive Fellow. At The Henry Ford, Melanie served as Museum Programs Supervisor, Youth & Museum Programs Presenter, and worked as a Research Center Intern. Additionally, Melanie worked as an Independent Contractor for furnishings research at Fair Lane, Home of Clara & Henry Ford, and contributed as a Graduate Assistant at the Ypsilanti Historical Society. Melanie holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University, completed in 2014, and attended the University of New Hampshire in 2012.
