James Clark began their work experience in 2001 as an Animator at 3D Films. James then worked at Climax as an Animator from February 2003 to February 2004. James joined Travellers Tales in 2004 and served as an Animator for projects such as Crash Twinsanity and Super Monkey Ball Adventure until 2006. James then worked at Framestore as an Animator from April 2006 to September 2006. James joined Namco Bandai Games America in December 2006 as a Senior Animator, working on games like Splatterhouse and Afro Samurai until November 2009. In September 2010, they joined Twisted Pixel Games as a Senior Animator, where they contributed to various games, including Mortal Kombat 1, Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, Defector, and Path of the Warrior. James continued their career at PlayStation as an Animator from November 2021 to February 2022. James is currently working at IllFonic as a Principal Animator starting from March 2022.

James Clark began their education in 1990 at St. John Rigby R.C College, where they pursued A Levels in Art, Design, and English Literature. James then attended Arts University Bournemouth from 1997 to 1999 and obtained an HND in Animation. In 1999, they continued their education at St. Martin's College, earning a Post Graduate Certificate with Distinction in Animation, which they completed in 2000. Later, in 2016, they participated in a workshop called "Workshop 4: Close up facial acting and lipsync" at IAnimate. Lastly, in 2018, they attended another workshop at IAnimate, specifically "Workshop 1: Rigging fundamentals".
