Joseph Jobst has a diverse work experience in the field of game art and virtual reality development. Joseph currently serves as the Lead VFX Artist at IllFonic. Prior to that, Joseph worked as a faculty member at Ringling College of Art and Design, specializing in game art and virtual reality development. Joseph also held various positions at Rockstar Games, including Lead FX Artist and Sr FX Artist. Additionally, Joseph worked as a Sr Lead FX Artist at Mad Doc Software, where they contributed to the development of several projects using Unreal Engine. Joseph also gained experience as an Instructor at Full Sail Real World Education and held the position of 3D Game Artist (Environment / FX Artist) at THQ. Joseph's early career includes working as a 2D/3D Artist at Outrage Entertainment on projects such as Rubu Tribe and Alter Echo.

Joseph Jobst attended The Ohio State University from 1997 to 1998, but did not receive a degree or study a specific field during that time. Joseph then went on to attend Columbus College of Art & Design from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a BFA in illustration. During their time at Columbus College of Art & Design, Joseph studied illustration, 3D animation, and fine art.
