Michael Haggerty, JD, CPHRM has extensive work experience in the field of claims management and professional liability. Michael currently serves as the Assistant Vice President, Claims at the Illinois Health and Hospital Association, where they oversee the medical malpractice, professional liability, and general liability claims department. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Medical Malpractice Claims Supervisor at the same organization.

Before joining the Illinois Health and Hospital Association, Michael worked as a Senior Claims Examiner at Markel, specializing in professional liability, medical, and casualty claims. Michael also gained valuable experience as a Partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, where they dealt with various legal matters.

Early in their career, Michael served as an Associate at Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey, further honing their skills in the legal field. With their diverse background and expertise in claims management, Michael has proven to be a valuable asset throughout their professional journey.

Michael Haggerty, JD, CPHRM pursued their Bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing it in the year 2000. Michael then went on to attend DePaul University College of Law from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree, specializing in Law.
