Kristopher Walton

Kristopher Walton, MUP, serves as a Community Revitalization Planner at the Illinois Housing Development Authority, focusing on creating affordable housing plans in collaboration with municipalities across Illinois. Key responsibilities include traveling for community engagement, conducting needs assessments, and analyzing data using GIS and Excel to inform research projects. Previously, Kristopher held various positions, including Equitable Development Intern at Enterprise Community Partners, Lead Teacher at the University at Buffalo Center for Urban Studies, and Community Engagement Specialist at the African Heritage Food Co-op. With a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University at Buffalo and a background in food studies from Syracuse University, Kristopher combines urban planning expertise with a commitment to equitable community development.
