Cindy Steiz Hood

Cindy Steiz Hood is an accomplished academic and engineer currently serving as an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology since 1996. In addition, Cindy holds the position of Principal Engineer III at Roberson and Associates since 2012. Recently, Cindy was a Fulbright Scholar at Poznan University of Technology from January 2023 to June 2023. Cindy's prior experience includes working as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) at Telcordia Technologies from 1988 to 1992. Cindy earned a PhD in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1992 and 1996, a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1989, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1983 to 1987.
