John Cesarone serves as an Associate Teaching Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Defence Against the Dark Arts at the Illinois Institute of Technology since 1998, where responsibilities include developing and teaching graduate-level courses focused on manufacturing technologies as well as undergraduate courses in design and manufacturing. Additionally, John functions as a Senior Consultant at Armitage-Wentworth Consulting, providing expertise in manufacturing productivity. Previous experience includes serving as a Program Manager at the IIT Research Institute from 1991 to 1998, overseeing contract research for industry and government, and roles at General Motors Electromotive Division as a CAD Engineer and at General Dynamics Convair Division as a Systems Analysis Engineer. John holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with additional studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
