Kevin Cassel

Vice Provost For Academic Affairs at Illinois Institute of Technology

Kevin Cassel has extensive experience in academia, currently serving as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology since 1996. Kevin has also held multiple leadership roles at this institution, including Interim Dean and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs in the Armour College of Engineering, as well as progressing through ranks from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to joining the Illinois Institute of Technology, Kevin worked as a Mathematician and National Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from 1993 to 1996. Kevin obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1993, a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1990, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Messiah University in 1988.
