Anita Decarlo

Anita DeCarlo is a legal professional currently serving as Section and Committee Staff Liaison at the Illinois State Bar Association since September 2025. Previously, Anita held the position of Senior Counsel at Ankin Law Office from February 2017 to September 2025. Growing up in Chicago, Anita was influenced by a familial background in advocating for workers’ compensation benefits. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law obtained between 1995 and 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature with a Minor in Spanish from Loyola University Chicago, earned from 1991 to 1995. Anita's foundational education was completed at Regina Dominican High School, where attendance spanned from 1987 to 1991.
