Douglas Knapp has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Douglas began their career as a Sales employee at The Savvy Traveller in 1993, where they worked until 1999. After that, they worked as a Freelance Webmaster at dugnap from 1995 to 2003. During this time, they designed, produced, and maintained websites for various clients including professional organizations, retail stores, and consultants. In 1999, they joined the American Bar Association and held various roles such as Technology Coordinator for the Commission on Diversity from 1999 to 2004, Technology Coordinator for the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division from 2003 to 2006, and Associate Director of Marketing for ABA Book Publishing from 2006 to 2007. Currently, they are working for the Illinois State Bar Association as the Director of Electronic Communications since 2007. In this role, they coordinate efforts to develop and maintain websites and other electronic communications media to serve, recruit, and retain members. Douglas also supervises and participates in the creation, publishing, and archiving of content on the ISBA website.
Douglas Knapp attended Bradford College in Bradford, MA from 1984 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities. Prior to that, in 1994-1995, they attended Northwestern University, and in 1995, they briefly studied at Columbia College Chicago. However, no specific degree or field of study is indicated for their time at Northwestern University or Columbia College Chicago.
