Shawn Kasserman

Shawn Kasserman's work experience includes being the Incoming President of the Illinois State Bar Association, a role they will assume in 2023. Shawn is also a Founding Member of Tomasik Kotin Kasserman since 2013. Prior to that, Shawn worked at Corboy & Demetrio as a Partner, where they screened and investigated potential cases, prepared for trial, and enforced their clients' rights through jury verdicts or settlements. Shawn also served on the boards of the Illinois Bar Foundation and KidsInDanger, and lectured at continuing legal education seminars. Shawn was previously a Trial Lawyer at Corboy & Demetrio, starting in 1990 and ending in 2013. Early in their career, they worked as a Carpenter-Laborer at Mathew A Wiesbrock Builders from 1984 to 1987.

Shawn Kasserman began their education at Western Illinois University in 1983, where they pursued a degree in Liberal Arts. Shawn successfully completed their studies in 1987. Following this, they attended DePaul University College of Law from 1987 to 1990, earning a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
