Quanisha Kumi-Darfour

Quanisha Kumi-Darfour is an experienced professional in student services, currently serving as the Director of Career Services at Illinois State University since January 2011. Kumi-Darfour has held various roles at the university, including Associate Director of Student Relations and Coordinator of Case Management, and has demonstrated strong leadership and management skills while overseeing several residence halls and student staff. Responsibilities have included crisis management, community engagement, and policy enforcement, as well as budget management for programming. Kumi-Darfour has significant experience in training and developing diverse teams and is pursuing a PhD in Education at Illinois State University, building upon a Master’s in Student Affairs and a Bachelor’s in Chemistry. Prior experience includes serving as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, where Kumi-Darfour trained new staff and taught certification classes.
