Sean Montoney is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in coaching, law enforcement, and organizational development. Currently serving as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Illinois State University since June 2017, Sean emphasizes the holistic development of athletes and the promotion of a vibrant game-day experience. In addition to the coaching role, Sean holds positions as Site Supervisor for Security at Rivian since June 2021 and as a Part-Time Police Officer with the El Paso Police Department since April 2018. As Founder and Executive Director of SilentHero, a nonprofit organization, Sean addresses mental health challenges faced by first responders and healthcare professionals. Previously, Sean has been involved in various roles including Head Instructor at the Universal Cheerleaders Association and Loss Prevention Manager at Meijer. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in History/Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University and certifications from Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center and Florida SouthWestern State College.
