Tom Lamonica is an Instructional Assistant Professor at Illinois State University since August 2006, specializing in sport communication and public relations, and overseeing the largest non-required internship program on campus. Prior to this role, Tom served as a Sportscaster for TowneSquare Media, broadcasting college sports for the Redbird Radio Network from August 2006 to March 2011. From February 1980 to May 2006, Tom was the Director of Sports Information for a Division I athletics program, managing public relations and media relations within the Missouri Valley Conference. Additionally, Tom held part-time roles as Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner for the Prospect League, a summer college baseball league, from October 1982 to September 1999. Tom's educational background includes a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Illinois State University and a Bachelor's degree in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
