Patrice Hess

Director, Learning Resources at Illinois Valley Community College

Patrice Hess is the current Director of Learning Resources at Illinois Valley Community College. Hess has been in this position since October of 2017. Prior to their current role, Hess served as the Associate Dean of Online Learning and Instructional Technology at Illinois Central College from May of 2011 until October of 2017. Hess was also the Director of Organizational Learning at Illinois Central College from January of 2007 until May of 2011 and an Adjunct Instructor from March of 2003 until August of 2008. Hess began their career in education as an Instructional Technology Specialist at Illinois Central College in August of 2000 and then transitioned to Western Illinois University where they served as an Adjunct Instructor from August of 1999 until December of 2000. Hess then moved into the corporate world and worked as a web project manager and product support specialist for ChoicePoint from June of 1997 until August of 2000.

Patrice Hess has a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Curriculum and Instruction from Illinois State University, a Master of Science (MS) in Instructional Technology/Instructional Design from Western Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Speech and Theatre Education from Bradley University.
