Dennis Arteaga has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dennis started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Iowa, where they assisted professors in reviewing student assignments and projects. Dennis then worked as a Server at Lone Star Steakhouse / Texas Land & Cattle and Urban Pie, gaining customer service and communication skills.
In 2017, Dennis joined the Textiles and Apparel Program as a Stage Director, where they served as a liaison between directors and crew to design the set for student design shows. Dennis also delegated tasks and created informational documents for future students. That same year, they joined JCPenney as a Merchandise Associate and later became a Management Trainee, responsible for creating floor plans, coaching associates, and researching sales strategies.
Dennis continued their career at Tip Top Tux Inc., starting as an Assistant Manager and then becoming a Store Manager. Dennis adapted to companywide changes, maintained sales quotas, and provided excellent service. Dennis also utilized Microsoft Suite for organization and communication with corporate.
Dennis then worked at iMedia Brands, Inc. as a Visual Product Coordinator, responsible for coordinating visual displays. Following this, Dennis worked as a Visual Merchandising Manager at J.Crew Factory, overseeing the visual presentation of products.
Most recently, they joined Sunshine Factory Bar and Grill as a Server, and in 2023, they will be starting a new role as a Sales Coordinator at ILLUME. Throughout their career, Dennis has demonstrated adaptability, strong communication skills, and a focus on delivering excellent service.
Dennis Arteaga obtained their Bachelor's degree in Apparel and Textiles from the University of Northern Iowa, which they attended from 2014 to 2017.
