Charles White

Charles is an Associate at Illumina Ventures based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining the team, he was a Life Sciences Consultant at Putnam Associates’ San Francisco office where he assisted a range of small and large biotech and pharmaceutical companies with strategic decisions. During his time with Putnam Associates, Charles worked across a variety of areas including market landscaping, demand forecasting, and M&A strategy.

Prior to joining Putnam, Charles earned his Ph.D. from UCSF where he studied the biochemical mechanisms underlying age-related regenerative decline in the mammalian brain in the lab of Dr. Saul Villeda. While pursuing his Ph.D. at UCSF, Charles worked with Biotech Connection Bay Area, where he coordinated networking and professional development events for graduate students and postdocs in the Bay Area. Prior to UCSF, Charles completed a dual B.S. in Biotechnology and Biochemistry at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
