Catherine Ohura

Catherine Ohura, MS, PMP, currently serves as the General Manager for Illumina in Japan since February 2025, where the mission focuses on harnessing the power of the genome to enhance global health. Ohura is also a Board Member at Sugi Holdings and has held various board positions including the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan and Temple University Japan. Previous roles include General Manager at Labcorp Japan, leading strategic operations, and CEO of the GHIT Fund, a public-private partnership aimed at combating infectious diseases. With extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including significant roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ohura has demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, commercial operations, and project management. Educational qualifications include an MS in Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance from Temple University and ongoing PhD studies in Project Management at Capella University.
