Cheng Eng Ang

Cheng Eng Ang is an experienced professional in revenue operations and sales, currently serving as the Director of Revenue Operations for EMEA at Illumina since October 2012. In this role, Cheng leads various operational functions, enhancing performance and insights to support over $1 billion in revenue. Previous positions at Illumina include Associate Director of Commercial Operations and Senior Manager of Sales Operations, where responsibilities involved strategy, process improvement, and the establishment of a Sales Operations Centre of Excellence. Cheng significantly transformed the Inside Sales Team, achieving a remarkable increase in revenue. Prior to Illumina, Cheng held senior management roles in genomics at Source BioScience and in contract research at MRC Geneservice, along with academic positions as a Principal Investigator and Research Fellow. Cheng earned a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from The University of Manchester.
