Chinglin Chan

Chinglin (Joanne) Chan is a Senior Engineer at Illumina, leading cross-site Chemistry Operations since September 2021, with expertise in project management, chemistry process development, and successful project transfers from R&D to manufacturing. Prior to Illumina, Chinglin held the position of Scientist II, focusing on analytical and prep HPLC method development at Illumina, and Research Scientist I at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, contributing to small molecule synthetic projects and managing x-ray crystallography collaborations. Chinglin's earlier experience includes a role as a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation, emphasizing quality and manufacturing efficiency, and research positions during academic studies, culminating in a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC San Diego.
