Christopher Edlund

Christopher Edlund is the Director of Technology Bioinformatics at Illumina, where they lead a team of bioinformatics scientists focused on innovative solutions for next-generation sequencing platforms and multiomics technologies. Previously, Edlund served as the Director of Bioinformatics at the University of Southern California, managing significant projects in cancer research and establishing a new Bioinformatics Core. With a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Chalmers University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, Edlund has contributed extensively to software development and bioinformatics analysis across multiple projects and institutions. Their expertise includes leading teams and managing large-scale bioinformatics initiatives, particularly in oncology.
