Edwin Li is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of bioengineering and a strong focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. Currently serving as a Sr Staff Development Engineer at Illumina since April 2012, Edwin has progressed through various roles, including Staff Development Engineer and multiple positions in consumable devices R&D for NGS. Prior to joining Illumina, Edwin worked at the Lee Lab within the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences, contributing to the development of thermoplastic microfluidic devices for diagnostics and biosensing applications. Additionally, Edwin has experience in educational roles, having instructed high school students in STEM disciplines and served as a Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley. Edwin holds an M.S. in Bioengineering: Translational Medicine from the UCB - UCSF Joint Graduate Group and a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
