Ashfaque Uddin

Ashfaque Uddin, Ph.D., is currently a Senior Staff Engineer in Photonics Process Development at Pacific Biosciences, where the development of photonics-integrated biosensor chips for next-generation DNA sequencing systems is being spearheaded. Previous experience includes positions such as Senior Staff Foundry Engineer at TDK InvenSense, focusing on CMOS/MEMS motion sensors, and Staff Process Integration Engineer at Tower Semiconductor, optimizing process modules for advanced technology nodes. Additional roles include Senior Device and Yield Engineer at Intel Corporation, Graduate Research Assistant at UC Santa Barbara, and various internships in semiconductor processes and MEMS characterization. Uddin holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, along with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Leeds.
