Jacob Thaysen

Jacob Thaysen serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Illumina since September 2023. Prior to this role, Jacob Thaysen held various senior leadership positions at Agilent Technologies from January 2013 to September 2023, including Senior Vice President and President of the Life Science & Applied Markets Group and the Diagnostics & Genomics Group. Jacob Thaysen's earlier experience includes multiple vice president roles at Dako from September 2007 to January 2013, with responsibilities in R&D, system development, strategic marketing, and global sales operations. Jacob Thaysen started their career as a management consultant at Copenhagen Consulting Company from January 2006 to August 2007 and was the Chief Technology Officer at Cantion A/S from October 2001 to December 2005. Jacob Thaysen holds a Ph.D. in Micro and Nanotechnology and an M.Sc. in Applied Physics, both from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
