Lisa Bonanno-Young

Lisa Bonanno-Young is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and product development, currently serving as Associate Director of New Product Introduction at Illumina since September 2012. Lisa has advanced through various roles at Illumina, including Senior Manager in Engineering and Staff Engineer, specializing in new product introduction for next-generation sequencing applications. Notably, Lisa has led a team of 15 engineers and scientists in the development and launch of significant oncology products. Prior to Illumina, Lisa held positions at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester, where research focused on functional nanomaterials and low-cost in-vitro diagnostics, including immunoassay development. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
