Xiang

Xiang Ma is a Staff Bioinformatics Engineer at Illumina, where they lead cross-functional efforts to design and implement scalable, cloud-based NGS data pipelines. Previously, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, utilizing epigenomic profiling tools for diabetes research and mentoring graduate students. Xiang has also held positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Bioinformatics Scientist and Field Application Scientist, developing targeted sequencing panels and optimizing NGS workflows. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Technology from Zhejiang University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biological Chemistry from the Institute for Nutritional Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
