Joseph Brown

Joseph Brown is a highly experienced professional in bioinformatics and data science, currently serving as a Staff Bioinformatics Data Engineer at GRAIL, Inc. since January 2021. Prior to this role, Joseph worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Netflix from December 2016 to October 2019 and held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific between February 2014 and December 2016. Joseph began the career in research as a Senior Research Scientist at Battelle, contributing to the Pacific Northwest National Laboratories' Biological Sciences and Mass Spectrometry division from May 2008 to 2013, and as a Post-doctoral associate at the same institution from May 2008 to October 2010. Joseph earned a Ph.D. in Virology and Functional Genomics from the University of Florida College of Medicine and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of West Florida.
