Ben Davis has had a diverse work experience in various creative roles throughout their career. Ben founded and served as the Chief Visionary Officer of Illuminate, where they brought large groups of people together to create public art. Ben also played a key role in The Bay Lights, a monumental public art installation on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. As an artist under the persona ISHKY, they expressed their creativity and aspirations. Ben owned and managed Words Pictures Ideas, a creative agency committed to doing good, having fun, and learning. Ben also founded I Shot Him, a purpose-driven design firm focused on changing hearts, minds, and habits. Furthermore, they worked as an academic advisor at the Academy of Art University and as a creative director at Singer Associates and CirclePoint. During their tenure at Singer Associates, they contributed to projects such as naming and creating the visual identity for the Transbay Transit Center. Earlier in their career, they served as the Manager of Public Information at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. Davis has had a rich background in media, arts, and public relations, with a strong focus on creativity and making a positive impact.

Ben Davis attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.
