Courtney Valdes

Courtney Valdes, PsyD, currently serves as the Clinical Director of Children’s Programs at Illumination Foundation, a position held since July 2022, after previously acting as Associate Clinical Director. Valdes has extensive experience in mental health, having worked as Manager of Mental Health Providers at Rocketship Public Schools and as a Mental Health Provider prior to that. Other roles include Adjunct Faculty at John F. Kennedy University, Postdoctoral Psychology Resident at Kaiser Permanente, and various trainee positions at organizations such as Samaritan Health Services and Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. Valdes holds a Doctor of Psychology degree from the University of San Francisco, as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University at Buffalo.
