Dan Cook

Dan Cook is a seasoned engineering professional with over 30 years of experience in software and systems development. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Illumio since January 2013, Dan previously held similar roles at Cymtec Systems and contributed to the Cloud IDS/IDP sector. Dan's extensive tenure at Cisco Systems from 2002 to 2011 included responsibilities as a Senior Technical Lead, where Dan focused on application layer development using REST with XML and MySQL databases, as well as designing critical infrastructure for system upgrades. Earlier experiences include software engineering roles at G/W Associates and Universal Instruments, where Dan made significant advancements in semiconductor machine control and high-speed placement software. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Clarkson University.
