Peter Magdas has a diverse range of work experience in the creative industry, with a particular focus on immersive technologies and virtual reality (VR). Peter started their career at Arterial Motives in 2012, where they worked as a Producer, creating screen and media content for Hearts and Minds. In 2014, they became an Executive Producer at Bangarang Media, a role they held until early 2016. During this time, they also worked as a VR Producer at Tangible Media Co. and as a Post Production Manager and Producer at Start VR.

Peter's passion for virtual reality led him to take on roles as a VR Producer at VANDAL ▼ from 2017 to 2019, and as a Freelance Producer and VR Specialist at Paper Moose from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, in 2016, they worked as a Treasure Hunter at Martian Park, showcasing their versatility and adventurous spirit.

Peter's dedication to immersive technologies extended to academia, as they served as the Manager of the Immersive Learning Lab at the University of Sydney in 2018. In this role, they supported academics from various faculties using immersive content and interactive 360° videos to enhance the learning experience.

Most recently, Peter joined Illuvium.io in 2021 as a Producer, responsible for story and content development for an open-world RPG adventure game built on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Throughout their career, Peter Magdas has consistently demonstrated their expertise in producing innovative and engaging content, particularly in the VR and immersive technology domain.

Peter Magdas has a diverse education history. In 2001, they obtained a Certificate III in Political Science and Government from TAFE NSW. In 2006, they completed a Certificate IV in Australian & International Trade from TAFE NSW. Following that, they pursued a Diploma in 3D Animation & Digital FX from Design Center Enmore from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they attended open programs at the Australian Film Television and Radio School for Nuke Compositing and ZBrush. In 2010, Peter earned a Graduate Certificate in Visual Effects and a Graduate Certificate in Animation Directing from the Australian Film Television and Radio School. Peter also completed an Advanced Diploma in Screen Media from the International Film School Sydney during the same period. In 2012, they received a Graduate Diploma in Producing from the Australian Film Television and Radio School, as well as an Open Program in Producing Animation. Subsequently, in 2013, Peter obtained a Certificate in Film & TV Co-Production from the Australian Film Television and Radio School. Peter also completed a Bachelor of 3D Art & Animation from Design Centre Enmore in the same year. Peter further enhanced their education in 2013 by attending the Pixar Masterclass at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, focusing on Story & Animation. More recently, from 2017 to 2018, they pursued a Master's degree in Brain and Mind Sciences from the University of Sydney. Additionally, in 2014, Peter obtained the Authority to Employ Children in NSW certification from the Office of the Children's Guardian.
