Bert Reubens

Bert Reubens is a seasoned professional in agricultural science, currently serving as a Senior Member of Scientific Staff at the Instituut voor Landbouw, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek (ILVO) since September 2009, where research focuses on soil management, composting, and agro-ecological systems. Bert coordinates working groups on agro-ecology and the ILVO sustainability plan. Additionally, Bert co-founded vzw WOP! in April 2019 and serves on the board of Trees for Farmers and previously on the board of vzw Ma'ar. Bert's academic background includes a PhD in Bio-engineering from KU Leuven, where previous research centered on the use of woody species for land rehabilitation in Ethiopia. Bert also has experience in education as a Geography teacher at Mater Salvatoris.
