Brigido Rodriguez has worked in the software engineering and gaming industry for over 18 years. In 2018, they began working as a Software Engineer for Image Metrics, where they developed apps for Android and iOS with Java/Kotlin, Objective C/Swift, and C++, as well as AR development using Google's ARCore and Apple's ARKit libraries. Brigido also implemented the Filament rendering engine on Android and desktop platforms. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Programmer for Reverge Studios, Inc., where they were the lead programmer on Star Chamber, a multimedia, self-improvement, educational app. Brigido also ensured that the master GIT repository was in working order and validated other branches and commits before merging. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Software Test Engineer for DIRECTV, where they executed Test Plans and Test Cases on different combinations of software and hardware, implemented and executed automation scripts used for testing set top boxes, and reported and verified software defects to the Quality Center/JIRA bug database. From 2013 to 2011, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Lab Zero Games, where they worked on all new tutorials for the original and DLC characters using Lua, and created a viewer that featured color swapping and HSLS pixel shader support and replicates the game engine rendering. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Designer for Reverge Labs, LLC, where they built a fully automated content pipeline used to create and convert files and assets to their software and development specifications, as well as built several tools, editors, viewers, and scripts to facilitate artwork pipeline production. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a QA Senior Tester for Disney Interactive Media Group, where they built the multiplayer test network, manipulated network scenarios, created test scripts, and managed a team of 10 onsite testers coordinating with multiplayer programmers on issues, steps to reproduce large scale bugs. Brigido also created a comprehensive test scripts and checklist on Excel that included past test cases and Nintendo DS/TWL guidelines. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a QA Senior Tester for THQ, where they performed functional, certification testing and game play evaluation of projects, and helped give feedback and analysis on game play ideas and design changes. Finally, from 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Freelance Artist for Toy Quest, where they modeled toy concepts and designs in 3D using Maya and 3ds Max, creating concept shots and storyboards from the renders.
Brigido Rodriguez attended the Art Institute of Los Angeles from 1999 to 2003, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Media Graphics and Animation.
