James Ward has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. James began their career in 1990 as an Air Craft Crash Rescue member in the United States Air Force, where they responded to aircraft emergencies and performed fire fighting and prevention services. After leaving the military in 1997, they worked as a Machine Operator at Peterson Grain until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, James worked as a Web Developer and Consultant at James Tower, where they consulted and recommended web-based business solutions and participated in all aspects of the development lifecycle. James then became a Programming Manager at James Tower from 2004 to 2008, overseeing projects and managing a staff of up to 17 employees. Following this, they served as the Director of Operations at James Tower from 2008 to 2009, where they managed and developed staff, established operation processes, and defined strategic business unit goals. James joined Taylor Corporation in 2009 as an IT Supervisor before transitioning to the role of Manager-IT Business Systems Analysis in 2018. James then joined ImageTrend in 2020 as a Business Analyst. Before that, they gained experience as a Technical Analyst and Director of Technical Analysts at Aware Web Solutions, Inc. Overall, James has a strong background in management, analysis, and technical roles in various organizations.
James Ward attended the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a CEU degree in Project Management in 2004. In 2006, they took a Business Analyst Course at Hollstadt & Associates Inc. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2002, they studied Management Information Systems at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Additionally, from 1998 to 2000, James attended South Central Community College and earned an AAS degree in Computer Science.
In terms of additional certifications, James obtained Cultural Humility and Agility certification from LinkedIn in March 2023 and Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) certification from LinkedIn in September 2020.
