Tiago Franco

Tiago Franco has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tiago is the co-founder and CEO of Imaginary Cloud, where they assist product owners in delivering exceptional digital products. Additionally, Tiago has worked as an invited professor at IADE - Creative University, teaching the product design process to post-graduates of Web Design.

In their previous roles, Tiago worked as a partner and entrepreneur in residence at Ganexa Capital SGPS, where they sourced startups and aided founders in securing investments. Tiago also served as a project and technical manager at Critical Software, managing projects for the European Space Agency and UK MoD. Prior to that, Tiago worked as an IT consultant at ZON Multimédia and as a researcher at CERN, where they contributed to the ATLAS DAQ program and developed a data browser for VLDB (now known as Big Data).

Tiago's early career included a role as a technical supporter at Telepac/PT Contact and as a lead developer at Féérica, Security Systems.

Tiago Franco's education history is as follows:

Tiago Franco completed their Bachelor of Science (BsC) degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Tiago started in 1998 and ended in 2001, although they dropped out before completing the program.

Afterward, Tiago pursued a software engineering degree from the same university. Tiago began in 2001 and completed their graduation in 2005.

In 2006, Tiago enrolled at Universidade Nova de Lisboa once again, this time for a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Semantic Web. Tiago completed the program in 2008.

Later, in 2009 and 2010, Tiago attended Instituto Bissaya Barreto for a post-graduation in Project Management, specifically focusing on the PMBoK 4th edition.

In 2007, Tiago briefly attended Carnegie Mellon University for a course on Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI). The details of obtaining a degree are not provided.

Recently, in 2021, Tiago pursued an MBA from ThePower Business School, specializing in Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Innovation & Digital Transformation. Tiago completed the program in 2022.

In terms of additional certifications, Tiago obtained a certification in PowerMBA from ThePowerMBA in May 2021. Furthermore, in November 2022, they completed a course on Corporate Governance: Board management & participation from Nova SBE Executive Education.
