Vamshi Kadiyala

Director Of CPU Hardware Engineering at Imagination Technologies

Vamshi Kadiyala has extensive work experience in the field of semiconductor engineering. Vamshi started their career as a Graduate Technical Intern at Intel Corporation, where they independently developed a cluster level testbench and created automated test creation scripts. Vamshi then moved on to various roles at Intel Corporation, including RTL Design Engineer, Sr. RTL Design Engineer I, and Sr. RTL Design Engineer II. In these roles, they were responsible for developing micro-architecture, RTL coding, and design for various components, such as audio DMA controllers and graphics chips. Vamshi also led validation teams and debugged complex system issues.

After their tenure at Intel Corporation, Vamshi joined Samsung Austin R&D Center as a Staff Engineer, where they developed new methodologies for RTL coding, clock control, and power analysis. Vamshi later became a Sr. Staff Engineer at Samsung Austin R&D Center, where they focused on developing RTL constraint management methodologies and implementing power domains and clock gating for ARM-based CPUs.

Vamshi then joined Qualcomm as a Sr. Staff Design Engineer/Manager, where they were responsible for managing and leading DDR sub-system projects, including those for mobile, auto, compute, and IoT applications. Vamshi also developed ASIL-B safety compliant DDRSS for auto products.

Most recently, Vamshi worked at Samsung Electronics as an Associate Technical Director, where they built a GPU RTL team from scratch, finalized strategies with US and India leadership, and enabled virtual operations between the two sites. Currently, they serve as the Director of CPU Hardware Engineering at Imagination Technologies, where they have built a team and opened a tech office in Bangalore.

Overall, Vamshi Kadiyala's work experience showcases their expertise in RTL coding, micro-architecture, design, and validation, as well as their leadership and management skills in building and leading teams.

Vamshi Kadiyala completed an Accelerated Development Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education in 2024.
