Billy Sardar has diverse work experience in various industries. Billy started their career as a Work Experience participant at City of London Corporation in 2001. Billy then took on a Customer Service Assistant role at Wickes in 2003.

In 2004, they joined Sharp Laboratories of Europe for a Year in Industry placement, where they focused on optical characterization of Liquid Crystal Display modules and designed brackets and robotic adjustment stages. Billy returned to Sharp Laboratories for a summer placement in 2006, conducting electrostatic discharge and electromagnetic compatibility testing.

In 2007, Billy Sardar worked as a Summer Placement participant at STFC, where they measured the thermal conductivity of solid methane and designed automated jigs for particle accelerators.

Billy gained experience in the automation industry during a summer placement at The Automation Partnership in 2008, where they conducted device characterizations and designed gripping devices.

Billy Sardar then transitioned into the renewable energy sector and joined DNV GL in 2009. In various roles, they worked on consultancy projects for wind turbine manufacturers, performing structural engineering tasks, load calculations, and managing multiple sequential projects.

In 2020, they worked as a Digital Transformation Consultant at British Rowing, where they developed the Community Digital Lab concept, formulated a cost model, and pitched it successfully to the directors’ team.

Billy is currently working at Imaginera Limited as a Senior Product Consultant and Team Lead, responsible for leading a team in the implementation of a SQL Server data integration system. Billy has also coached a junior team lead and onboarded new starters during their tenure.

Throughout their career, Billy Sardar has showcased their expertise in the areas of product consulting, technology implementation, digital transformation, and project management.

Billy Sardar has a comprehensive education history. Billy completed their Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cambridge from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a MSc degree in Software Engineering at the University of the West of England from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their university education, Billy attended Sutton Grammar School from 1997 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Billy has obtained various certifications. Billy became a Mental Health First Aider through Oxfordshire Mind in March 2020. Billy also completed the Highly Effective Manager Programme offered by Meraki HR Solutions Ltd in the same year. In 2017, Billy obtained their Level 2 Club Coach certification from British Rowing. Billy became a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) through Agilify in 2015. Prior to that, in 2011, they received ANSYS Training from Tynemouth Computer Services. Billy also holds a Level 3 Certificate in Management Studies from Kingston Management Centre, which they obtained in 2005. Finally, they have First Aid at Work certification from St John Ambulance, which they obtained in November 2015.
