Soyung Kang

Soyung Kang has a strong background in legal affairs and securities law, with experience in various roles. Soyung worked as a Senior Director at IMAX, advising on securities-related matters and overseeing proxy statements and shareholder meetings. Prior to that, they were a Director at IMAX and an Associate at Haynes and Boone, LLP, where they provided legal counsel to public companies on corporate governance matters and assisted in preparing SEC filings. Soyung also worked as an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, representing sponsors, issuers, and underwriters in securities offerings and other transactions. Earlier in their career, they served as an Associate at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, focusing on power and energy capital markets.

Soyung Kang attended Stuyvesant High School from 2003 to 2007. Soyung then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University between 2007 and 2011. Afterwards, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at New York University School of Law from 2012 to 2016.
