Adam Harries has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and cloud migration. Adam started their career as a Software Engineering Consultant at Frazer-Nash Consultancy, where they worked on software development projects for clients in the defense industry. Adam gained expertise in Java, C#, Fortran, C, C++, and MATLAB during this time.

In 2014, they joined Willis Towers Watson as a Software Engineer, focusing on building cloud-based applications using Azure and .NET technologies. Adam gained extensive experience in working with Service Fabric, Service Bus, Event Hubs, RESTful Web APIs, Cloud Services, and Storage Accounts.

In 2016, Adam joined Invenias Limited as a Senior Software Engineer. Adam was responsible for re-designing and re-architecting parts of the legacy system to be cloud-compatible. Adam worked with Azure technologies like App Services, SQL Azure, Key Vault, Azure Web Jobs & Functions, and Identity Server with OAuth 2.

In 2017, Adam became the Lead Platform Engineer at Thomas International. Adam spearheaded the effort to re-architect and migrate the company's legacy system to the cloud. Adam closely collaborated with the technical architect in defining and implementing the migration roadmap. Technologies utilized in this role include Docker, Kubernetes, App Services, Key Vault, Azure Functions, SQL Azure, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, NServiceBus, and Log Analytics.

In 2020, Adam joined Clarksons Platou as a DevOps Technical Lead, overseeing the implementation of DevOps practices. Adam worked with various technologies in this role.

Currently, Adam holds the position of SRE Technical Lead at Duck Creek Technologies, starting in 2021.

Adam Harries attended the University of Bath from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained an MSci (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Physics. In addition to their academic education, they acquired certifications from Microsoft, including being a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate in February 2022 and a Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert in April 2023.
