Arav Chheda is currently an Incoming Software Engineering Intern at IMC Trading since October 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where a significant contribution involved developing VerdictDB, an analytics library that significantly reduced query processing costs for Walmart and Locally. Previous roles also include a Software Development Intern position at MichiganWorks!, where Ruby on Rails and AWS were leveraged to enhance user functionality for an online job-matching platform, and another Undergraduate Research Assistant role at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where a virtual reality educational game was created. Initial experience was gained as an Intern at Myelin Foundry, focusing on improving video streaming performance through C programming and digital rights technology design. Arav Chheda is pursuing a degree in Statistics and Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, having graduated from the Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science in 2020.
