Dr. Hischam El-Agamy

Dr. Hischam El-Agamy is an accomplished Executive Director at IMD since 1999, specializing in family business, national competitiveness, and cluster development. In addition to this role, Dr. El-Agamy serves as Chairman of Target Development GmbH, a boutique advisory company focused on sustainable growth in fast-evolving economies. As the founder of both the Tharawat Family Business Forum and Tharawat, a business resource dedicated to family enterprises, Dr. El-Agamy emphasizes the importance of family-owned businesses for global economic growth. Prior to these roles, Dr. El-Agamy spent 14 years as a Business Development Manager with major Swiss multinational corporations. Academically, Dr. El-Agamy holds a Doctorate in Geophysics and several master's degrees in Applied Geology and Geophysics from prestigious universities.
