Loïck Batumba

Loïck Batumba serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Coaching Excellence at IMD since January 2019, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative Executive Coaching solutions. Previously, Loïck held various roles at IMD, including Operations & Client Relationship Manager and Operations Specialist. Concurrently, Loïck founded UpBeat Leadership Coaching in January 2023, emphasizing a unique coaching philosophy based on musical metaphors. Loïck's military experience includes the position of Sergeant Major Chef in the Swiss Army since 2011. Earlier career contributions include co-founding the EHL Human Touch Project and serving as President of the Student Council at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, where Loïck earned a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management. Further education includes an Executive Coaching Certificate from IMD and an Executive MBA specializing in Business, Sustainability Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility from HEG. Loïck started a career in retail, working as a Sales Advisor for both the Swatch Group and Bucherer AG.
