Louise Frechelin

Louise Frechelin is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel at IMD since June 2018. Previous roles include Senior Legal Counsel at Chopard from August 2012 to October 2016, and various positions at EFTA between September 2005 and August 2011, including Senior Officer in the Secretary General's Office. Louise Frechelin also served as Secretary of Embassy at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the WTO and EFTA from March 2004 to September 2005. Earlier experience includes a Scientific Advisor role at the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs and a trainee position within the WTO Division. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Law from Université de Fribourg, a Certificate of International Studies in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute, and various advanced business management programs from IMD.
